How to catch Disk Abalone
Use the Shellfish Tongs. The exact approach depends on the creature’s category and, for shore-dwellers, its species type.
- Equip the Shellfish Tongs and search the intertidal zone along the beach.
- Shellfish are mostly stationary. The Pearl Oyster is the notable exception and can move.

Disk Abalones mainly feed on algae. They are typically fed kelp in aquafarms.
Though simple invertebrates, they show clear preferences for their "grub" — always picking out the freshest, most tender pieces of kelp from the bunch.
