Release and platforms
When does Petit Planet release?+
December 4, 2026, globally. HoYoverse announced the date on October 30, 2026.
What platforms is Petit Planet on?+
PC via Windows, iOS and Android. No Steam, Nintendo Switch, Switch 2 or PlayStation 5 version has been announced.
Is Petit Planet free?+
Yes, it is free to play. Full launch monetization details have not been published.
Is there a pre-load?+
No pre-load time has been announced. Some stores offer automatic download on release if you enable it.
What time does it launch?+
No launch hour has been announced. Ignore exact clock times until HoYoverse publishes them.
Gameplay
What do you do in Petit Planet?+
You grow a small planet, farm, cook, decorate, meet animal neighbors, collect creatures and sail to islets in the Starsea.
Is there combat?+
No combat meta has been shown. The game is a life sim built around farming, collection, decoration and social features.
Is it an MMO?+
No. It is a life sim with social visits, not a persistent open-world MMO.
Does it have gacha?+
The Final Beta included a “Starsea Call” system with published probability details. HoYoverse has not published full launch monetization details, so we do not label the final game as gacha or non-gacha yet.
How long is the game?+
It is an ongoing life sim, not a story with a fixed ending. Progress is paced by real-time days, seasons and collection goals.
Neighbors and gifts
How many neighbors are in Petit Planet?+
Seventeen are known: 12 invite neighbors with bond profiles and five base story neighbors.
How do I invite a neighbor?+
Meet them on their encounter islet, meet them a second time anywhere, host their visit and complete the mini-quest, then settle them if you have capacity.
What is the neighbor limit?+
Base neighbors do not count. Invite neighbors use capacity, which increased at Luca Arbor levels 17, 24 and 28 in the Final Beta. The starting cap is not officially stated.
What is the best gift?+
A loved item is the safest daily gift (2–4 bond). A requested Glenn’s Goods item is worth 4. Check the gift finder.
Do disliked gifts lower bond?+
No. The neighbor refuses the gift, and you can choose another. Testing is safe.
Technical and cross-save
Does Petit Planet have cross-save?+
Yes. With the same HoYoverse account, data carries between PC and mobile, according to the official Final Beta FAQ.
Does it have cross-play?+
The game has social visits, but HoYoverse has not published a detailed cross-play matrix. There is no console version.
What are the PC requirements?+
The Final Beta recommended Windows 10, an i5 11th Gen / Ryzen 5 5000 CPU, RTX 2060 / RX 5600 XT, 16 GB RAM and 18 GB storage. These are test recommendations, not final launch specs.
Can I use an emulator?+
Emulators were not supported in the Final Beta. No launch emulator support has been announced.
Is an internet connection required?+
Yes. The game is online-only.
Beta and progress
Will Final Beta progress carry over?+
No. It was a data-wipe test. All test data was deleted when the servers closed on October 19, 2026.
Can I still join the beta?+
No. The Final Beta ended on October 19, 2026. Pre-registration is for the launch game, not test access.
Are there beta rewards at launch?+
No beta participation rewards have been announced. The pre-registration rewards are separate and available to everyone who registers.

Is this an official site?+
No. It is an independent fan project. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by HoYoverse.
Where does your data come from?+
Official announcements plus the public community wiki (CC BY-SA 4.0), checked against the Final Beta. Each database page links to its sources.
Why do some pages say “not recorded”?+
Because the data is missing. We do not invent recipes, drop rates, dates or mechanics to fill a page.
How often is the site updated?+
After official announcements and major game updates. The verified date is shown on each data page.
