Omnidex, Folio Score and the Omni-Gallery

How Petit Planet collection works: Omnidex entries, creature qualities, Folio Score tiers and the Omni-Gallery.

In this system

The Omnidex is the collection layer that ties fishing, bug-catching and beachcombing together. Every first catch adds a creature to the Omnidex. Offering that creature to Mors at the Omni-Gallery puts it on display and unlocks its Omnipedia entry.

It is also a scoring system. Folio Score rises when you obtain a new creature or furniture item for the first time, and higher-star creatures award more points. The score has tiers with one-time rewards.

Creature quality and star rating

Creatures have two separate measures:

  • Quality — Common, Rare or Stellar. Stellar creatures are the rarest and some award Loomix Footprints on capture.
  • Star rating — based on the size of the individual you caught: ★ small, ★★ medium, ★★★ large, and MAX for the largest size with a glowing aura.

Both affect the sale price. The star rating also affects collection score. A small Stellar creature is still Stellar, but it is not worth the same as a MAX individual.

Folio Score tiers

The Final Beta reward table:

Tier Score Reward
Budding Archivist-in-Training 400 Title + 100 Dough
Aspiring Assistant Archivist 800 Title + Hexia Blossom Rug
Practiced Associate Archivist 1,600 Title + Taffeh Wildbloom Rug
Perceptive Senior Archivist 3,500 Title + Hexia Meadow Rug
Versatile Archivist Advisor 5,000 Title + Taffeh Fullbloom Rug
Illustrious Expert Archivist 8,000 Title + 500 Dough
Peerless Archivist Mentor 11,000 Title + 500 Dough
Legendary Archivist Laureate 15,000 Title + 1,000 Dough

These are one-time rewards, not a repeating season track. The rug rewards are cosmetic; the Dough is the practical prize.

Collection score values

The Final Beta changed creature collection scores. The current values are:

Quality ★ ★★ ★★★
Common 5 13 23
Rare 10 26 46
Stellar 30 78 138

This is why a single Stellar catch can be worth more than a stack of commons. If you are chasing a Folio tier, prioritise Stellar creatures and large individuals.

The Omni-Gallery is managed by Mors and is the upgrade to the Ecohouse. Caught creatures can be settled there:

  • Aquarium — fish and shore-dwellers, divided into categories such as Coastal Fish, Cold Water Fish, Coral Fish, Deep-Sea Fish, Fantasy Freshwater Fish, Giant Saltwater Fish and Shore-Dweller.
  • Insectarium — insects, with categories still being documented.
  • Giftarium — a shop run by Roofus where Omni-Vouchers can be exchanged for unique items and additional display stands.

Settling a creature is not the same as catching it. If a Footprint task asks you to “settle” a creature, you need to place it in the gallery, not just keep it in your inventory.

A practical collection routine

  1. Catch one of every new species you see, even if the size is poor. The Omnidex entry is permanent.
  2. Keep the largest individual of a species for score; sell duplicates if you need Dough.
  3. Settle the creatures that complete gallery categories rather than scattering them.
  4. Check the Folio tier before selling a Stellar duplicate — the score may be worth more than the sale price.
  5. Use the creature tracker to see what you are missing by season, time and weather.

Sources and caveats

Quality, star rating and score values are from public community documentation of the Final Beta. The Final Beta changed the collection score values, which is a reminder that launch values may move again. The tier rewards are the best current snapshot, not a guarantee.
