Quality and star rating both affect the sale price. MAX-size catches have a glowing aura.

Use the Fishing Rod. The exact approach depends on the creature’s category and, for shore-dwellers, its species type.

  1. Cast the Fishing Rod into the right water: rivers and lakes for freshwater fish, coastal waters for saltwater fish.
  2. Wait for the nibbles, then strike when the line bites down.
  3. Higher-quality saltwater fish need a slow reel-in. Keep the line from snapping instead of holding the button down.

First catch: the creature is added to the Omnidex. Offer it to Mors at the Omni-Gallery to put it on display and unlock its Omnipedia entry.

Habitat: River. Distribution: Islet Specialty from Hexia Zone H83 — this is an islet specialty, so plan it into a Starsea Voyage rather than a planet sweep..

Season: Year-Round. Time: Nighttime. Weather: Any Weather. If two of those tags are restrictive, check the creature tracker before you set out.

The River Tonguesole is one of the few flatfish that can live entirely in freshwater.

At a glance, it does resemble a planarian. Other than their body sizes, the two can also be distinguished by their flexibility. After all, as a vertebrate with a skeleton, the River Tonguesole moves much more "stiffly."
