How to catch Giant Flower Beetle

Use the Insect Net. The exact approach depends on the creature’s category and, for shore-dwellers, its species type.

1. Equip the Insect Net and approach the creature at eye level or on the ground.
2. Most insects can be caught with a simple net swipe; slow down if the species is skittish.
3. Check tree trunks, flowers, shrubs, crops and aerial spaces — the habitat column tells you where this species spawns.

Where and when to find it

Habitat: Aerial. Distribution: Islet Specialty from Taffeh Zone T31 — this is an islet specialty, so plan it into a Starsea Voyage rather than a planet sweep..

Season: Year-Round. Time: All Day. Weather: Any Weather. If two of those tags are restrictive, check the creature tracker before you set out.

A member of the beetle family, the Giant Flower Beetle sports a massive body covered in gorgeous elytra with a shiny metallic sheen.

One might assume a body this "clunky" would've lost its ability to fly, much like the ground beetle, but in fact, the Giant Flower Beetle flies well and loves to do so.
