How to catch Eel Loach

Use the Fishing Rod. The exact approach depends on the creature’s category and, for shore-dwellers, its species type.

1. Cast the Fishing Rod into the right water: rivers and lakes for freshwater fish, coastal waters for saltwater fish.
2. Wait for the nibbles, then strike when the line bites down.
3. Common freshwater fish and gray saltwater fish can usually be caught straight away after the bite.

Eel Loaches sift through the sand in search of sunken food scraps to fill their bellies, munching away at whatever plant and animal matter they can find without discrimination.

This handy habit is considered great for keeping aquariums clean, and so many hobbyists choose to keep them around as the "cleaning crew."

However, as hardworking as they are, eel loaches are also notorious for "playing dead".
