How to catch Cod
Use the Fishing Rod. The exact approach depends on the creature’s category and, for shore-dwellers, its species type.
- Cast the Fishing Rod into the right water: rivers and lakes for freshwater fish, coastal waters for saltwater fish.
- Wait for the nibbles, then strike when the line bites down.
- Higher-quality saltwater fish need a slow reel-in. Keep the line from snapping instead of holding the button down.
First catch: the creature is added to the Omnidex. Offer it to Mors at the Omni-Gallery to put it on display and unlock its Omnipedia entry.
Where and when to find it
Habitat: Coastal Waters. Distribution: All Regions.
Season: Winter. Time: All Day. Weather: Snowy. If two of those tags are restrictive, check the creature tracker before you set out.
